Rocky Mountain Juniper
A very useful tree, juniper leaves, fruits, and roots are used for medicine by several tribes across its range. The wood makes very aromatic furniture. Many songbirds nest in its dense foliage and the fruit are a favorite of cedar waxwings.
To find Jardine Juniper, exit HW 89 at the Wood Camp Campground and park at the trailhead on the other side of the bridge.
